ALBERTA // CALGARY DAY I

On Tuesday June 4th after work I flew out to Alberta. Adam and Cody met me at the Calgary airport and we were off to the races.

We stopped at Ship & Anchor for a pint and a bite to eat before retreating for the evening. We got a good night's sleep at Adam's family home before heading out in the morning to the badlands. However, Toby (Adam's car) had other plans in mind. We got a flat tire on our way out of the city on Deerfoot. We managed to pull over and put the doughnut tire on and set up a tire appointment for Toby.

LIBRARY

So instead we made a day of it! We had to wait for the tire in the afternoon so we explored downtown. We went to the library and Cold Garden brewery for a cool pint.

The weather could not have been any better. The small showers here and there kept the wind cool and the sun hot. It was fun trying different ciders Calgary had to offer.

NOSE HILL PARK

While we waited for Toby we checked out Nose Hill Park. The view of the city was amazing from the top of this hill. You could see the mountains in the distance. This got us totally pumped to head out to Canmore.

After we got Toby back, we had dinner with Adam's parents and left for Canmore and Banff for the next couple of days. Canmore said good night to us with a beautiful sunset.

What I loved most about this trip was how easy going and spontaneous it was. We had a rough itinerary for the week but nothing was set in stone. We went with the flow of the bow (lol). Travelling with Adam and Cody was a so much fun! I can't wait to see what other adventures we get up to in the future!!
