SAN DIEGO // DAY TWO

Let's go to the beach - beah - let's go getaway! For day two in Paradise we hit up the beach, took in some views and had a girls night out.

MISSION BEACH

Jojo said that we could try to swim since it was going to be a hot day - but sadly even after working up a sweat biking on the boardwalk, a 4 oz. margarita, and flaming hot cheetos - the water was still too cold to go in any deeper than my feet. It was still ice to be able to enjoy the shore and bask in the sun though. We rented bikes and road from Mission Beach to Pacific Beach and rewarded ourselves with a Margarita!

After we had enough sun, Ally and I got In-and-Out for dinner. The milkshakes, burgers and the aesthetic were my favourite things at In-and-Out (the fries however had nothing on Macdonald's.

Then we went to Mount Soledad to take in some views.

GAS LAMP

After a long power nap (we were slightly jet lagged), we were ready for a girls night out in Gas Lamp. It was only a Thursday night so downtown wasn't super busy. We started our evening at the Punch Bowl for cocktails and bowling (my favourite sport). To my dismay Ally kicked by ass in bowling, so after 3 games we left to wander the main strip. Some clubs were packed others were a ghost town. Eventually we followed a club promoter to a basement club for our free entry and drink. The music was satisfactory so we drank our drank, danced a lil and took in San Diego's night life.  Jojo was surprised when we called him at 12:30 pm to pick us up - he was expecting us to stay out til 4 am - but I'm naturally a grandma at heart, in combination with the jet lag and the clubs not being too bumpin', and wanting to get up early to head to Palm Springs - we decided to turn in "early".
