FLORIDA

To kick off summer 2018 Sarah and I traveled to Florida. She was so kind to invite me to stay with her at a beautiful resort. Together we drove around Florida to different beaches. Every day was a photo shoot, and we had a blast tanning and eating well. It was the ultimate girls vacation and I'm so grateful for Sarah inviting me on this trip with her. Here's a recap and more pictures from the trip.

DAYTONA BEACH

On our first day in Florida we went to pick up our rental car. We rented a 2016 Yellow Ford Mustang named Eleanor from Turo. The car was so much fun to drive around with the top off with our music playing loud and proud. It was fun turning heads and letting the wind blow through our hair.

The first beach we drove out to was Daytona Beach. We managed to find a great parking spot right by the beach for some great pictures with the car. Then we spent the rest of the afternoon soaking up the sun to try to even out the tan/burn we started to get in the car.

ORLANDO

The next day we decided to just hang around Orlando and save our miles towards the longer drive to Siesta Key on Sunday. It was also a little rainy so we just went for frozen yogurt and did a little outlet mall shopping. I was able to find my shoes and dress for my graduation ceremony in June.

SIESTA KEY

With the weather not in our favour we decided to try and drive away from the rain and escape to Siesta Key. We ended up being able to hang out Sarah's Aunts beach house there. The beach house was beautiful, with our own private pool and view of the canal. There we took even more pictures and walked to dinner and then to the beach for sunset.

The sunset was one of the more beautiful sites I've seen. The sand in Siesta Key is like powdered sugar and the water was warm. We could've happily spent a week at this location, so I definitely can't wait to return in the future.

DISNEY WORLD // MAGIC KINGDOM

A day or so later we went to Disney World's Magic Kingdom. Since we were mostly going for the photo op we decided to try to avoid the hot sun and go to the park later in the afternoon. Since we were there during a non-busy season the park wasn't very crowded and lines for rides were reasonable.

The park was a lot smaller than we remembered from when we went to Magic Kingdom when we were younger. We managed to walk around the park 3 times, and hit up all the rides we were really excited about.

The fireworks were so wonderful. Definitely made us both a little emotional as we took in the beautiful site. After the show we hit up the final rides we wanted to go on before the park closed. Overall it was the most perfect day at Magic Kingdom we could have asked for.

MARRIOTT GRANDE VISTA RESORT

The rest of our time was spent lounging by the pool, tanning as much as possible before having to go home. It was nice to be able to relax and unwind without a care in the world.

Our travels home were a whole other story. Our flight was delayed, we missed our connection, and had to sleep in the airport. We ended up flying to Montreal and taking the train the rest of the way home to get back at a more reasonable time than rescheduled. It definitely made us a appreciate our week of relaxation and finally being reunited with our own beds.

Lastly, here's a couple of pictures from the trip that my me laugh.
