LAST HIKE OF 2020 / WORK TRAIL, GATINEAU PARK

 

On the third last day of the year we got together with our friends Tam and Dana for our last hike of the year.

Ottawa fall weather is always flies by - Kevin and I took a hike at King Mountain Trail in Gatineau Park to see the leaves.

The fall leaves are in FULL FORCE out in Gatineau Park. I swear last year the leaves weren't as good, so I'm feeling so blessed to have been able to get out in some nature this weekend before the leaves fall.

My family and I went on a hike around the Mackenzie King Estate last week. It was a beautiful summer day and we enjoyed walking around in the sun and some tea (again lol) for lunch.

Last weekend Dan came to visit Irwin and I in Ottawa. The weather was a bit of a mess but we managed to get out to Gatineau Park for a lil hike on the Sugarbush Trail.

FALL // LUSKVILLE FALLS TRAIL

Irwin and I drove to Luskville to see the fall leaves this weekend. Rain or shine, we were (kinda) ready tackle the Luskville Falls Trail.

While my mom and Charlie were visiting, we really wanted to explore more of Gatineau Park. We found a quaint trail with some beautiful wild flowers to explore.

The other day Sarah and I got together before she goes off on an adventure in the USA. We wanted to take advantage of the beautiful summer weather, so we journeyed to Gatineau Park. We didn't exactly have a particular trail in mind, but we ended up near Luskville so we decided to tackle the Luckville Falls trail.

After checking out the Willson Carbide Ruins, Adam and I kicked off our 8 km long hike. A quick drive from the ruins there's the Wolf Trail 62.

Today Adam and I headed to Gatineau, Quebec to explore the Willson Carbide Mill. Everyone and their dog had been posting pictures of the beautiful ruins there, so I figured it was time to take a gander myself.

My best friend Erin and I love hitting up a good beach whenever we get together on a hot summers day. We went on quite the adventure before settling on Plage O'Brien, Lac Meech in Gatineau Park and we even lived to tell the tale...
