On the third last day of the year we got together with our friends Tam and Dana for our last hike of the year.

CAMPING: LOW, QUEBEC I

 

We had a chilly camping adventure a couple weeks ago at Low, Quebec! This crown land oasis was recommended to us by Terry (Kevin's uncle) and since we've been borrowing his canoe all summer we figured we better go check it out!

Kessandra and I visited the Ornamental Gardens in the Experimental Farm, and while the sky wasn't so blue the flowers were blooming.

Last weekend my friends and I drove out to Calabogie to hike to the Eagle's Nest Lookout trail.

SUNFLOWER FIELDS

Kessandra and I went to go see the sunflowers at the Experimental Farm last week. As everyone should already know sunflowers are my favourite flower so I was really happy to see them in full force this year.

REMIC RAPIDS & CANADA DAY LONG WEEKEND

Irwin and I went to the Remic Rapids to kick off our Canada Day long weekend. Here are some pictures of the balancing stones as the sun went down.

TULIP FESTIVAL

It's become a tradition of mine to go see the tulips every year. Whether it be solo or with friends I look forward to seeing the tulips around Ottawa. So I was so happy to be able to go admire them with Lena the other day.

Last weekend Irwin and I took advantage of some of the gorgeous summer weather Ottawa's been having. We drove an hour to Calabogie to the Manitou Mountain Trail for a day of hiking.

Last weekend Dan came to visit Irwin and I in Ottawa. The weather was a bit of a mess but we managed to get out to Gatineau Park for a lil hike on the Sugarbush Trail.

While my mom and Charlie were visiting, we really wanted to explore more of Gatineau Park. We found a quaint trail with some beautiful wild flowers to explore.

Like the professional tourist I am, I brought my mom to Mosai across the river to see the beautiful gardens.

PARLIAMENT HILL YOGA

After working 11 days in a row it's finally nice to unwind on the hill with a good friend.
