FRIENDSGIVING AT FITZROY HARBOUR // MORRIS ISLAND

We spent the weekend at a cottage in Fitzroy Harbour with our camping crew to celebrate Friendsgiving.

Kevin and I took Friday off to get a head start on the weekend. We arrived at the cottage in the afternoon and the sun was shining and it was waaaarm outside! The cottage was cozy and spacious - everyone had their own room and bathroom. I'd highly recommend this airbnb  - I hope we reutrn every year as a new tradition!

While we waiting for our friends to arrive Kevin and I went for a kayak on the Ottawa River. It was a beautiful day to be out on the water and the kayaks were so much faster than our canoe!

Once everyone arrived we started cooking dinner - it was taco night and everything was delicious (obviously).

The next day we went to Morris Island to take a stroll. It was a colder day and the ground was wet. It had stormed the night before. It was nice to get outside and stretch our legs.

We spent the rest of the evening cooking and lounging. For our second meal we had a HOME MADE spaghetti - curtesy of Hal and Jess. Kevin cooked sweet potato mash as per tradition.

It was a beautiful weekend filled with lots of good tunes and laughs. Looking forward to our winter excursion with this camping crew!

Happy Friendsgiving!
