STAYCATION

It's not actually summer if you don't go to Le Nordik to swim in the infinity pool and drink slushie beverages.

Dan came to Ottawa to visit Irwin and I for an extra long weekend. It was nice to take a little staycation with the boys, getting to be able to treat ourselves to some food and drink and soak up the summer.

We treated ourselves to some food and drink at multiple restaurants and bars. Sangria was our drink of choice for the long weekend. We went to the new Tavern on the Falls, and enjoyed some golden hour vibes. We ate at Joey, Fleena's, the Grande and probably more places but I can't remember them anymore but I'm sure they were delicious. 

Then we spoiled ourselves at Le Nordik for an evening. 

We also checked out a hidden swimming spot called The Pond out in Rockcliffe Park. We went for a brisk morning swim and the place was already full of people. It was nice to swim around and cool off from the summer heat here. 

Now it's back to reality. I'll be working every day for the rest of the summer. I'm so glad we got to enjoy the summer for a while.
