MONTREAL III

With exams 75% done, and since Adam and Cody have never been to Montreal - what better excuse than to road trip there? Here's how our adventure went down.

DAY I

First of all we some how managed to plan our trip on the most beautiful day of the week (it's been April showers all week long so far). We left Ottawa in the morning, and a short 2 hour drive later we were in Montreal. This city is so beautiful, full of amazing architecture which Adam and I really appreciated. This was my third time in the city (since a year and a half ago or so), and a first for Adam and Cody. We were lucky enough to stay with Adam's friend Kevin, and he has a prime spot right downtown.

Once we got settled, we headed straight for our climb up Mont Royal. It was cool and sunny, the perfect day for taking in views of Montreal. Then we descended from the (smallish) mountain and explored downtown, Old Montreal, and Old Port!

Among all the beautiful old and new architecture, we really enjoyed all of the street art downtown.

Later we meet back up with Kevin, who took us too some cool pubs in the area. SuWu was one of the many cool spots we stopped at during the evening. Then we finished off the night at Bar Bifteck for a couple games of pool (which I suck - at but I still enjoy playing).

DAY II

Since it was supposed to rain today, we decided to hit up the Biodome! Inside it was a whole other world, filled with exotic animals (like small children and monkeys). It was much bigger than it appeared from the outside, and we enjoyed embracing our inner child while we looked at the poissons and oiseaus.

I had a great time with the guys, with Adam it's always an adventure and it was nice to make new friends! I can't wait until my next road trip with these guys in the future. Cheers to a great trip.
